Tadaima! Fukuoka

Traveling to the other side of the world can be tiring to say the least. When I left Oslo airport I had about two hours ahead to Helsinki, 10 hours to Tokyo Narita (thankfully the wind was with us, cutting down the time to 8 hours), then a little over 1 hour bus ride from Narita to Haneda airpor, and finally around two hours by plane to Fukuoka. And then there was all the waiting in between the stops.

But all of that was so worth it. Because when I arrived in Fukuoka city it was as if I had returned home. People from four years ago still recognized me. The bar I had a habit of ending up at when I was a Japanese student welcomed me with a hug and tequila shots.

By midnight on my first day back in town, I had met old friends and found new people to hang out with. Just like four years ago Fukuoka's spirit is still very friendly and welcoming.

On my way to Haneda Airport.

Back in Fukuoka <3 Haruka and I went to Keith Flack's lounge party where we had some wine before we headed over to The Dark Room to say hello.

Haruka with her phone.

I have many, many more photos from this trip, and I will post them here soon-ish.
Just need to make time for more editing and writing :)
